The Dynasty Forge Tachi is equally classic and elegant. The Sunburst Gold Tachi is mounted in a speckled brown/orange/gold lacquered Saya with blackened gold fittings. The Brass Tachi is fitted in yellow brass fittings matched with a speckled dark green Saya and matching Ito. The blade itself is available in all three Daimyo steel types. Made to the same exacting standards as our Katana, the Tachi blade is lighter and easily wielded in a single hand. |

28.5" Daimyo F/F Tri-Steel Tachi in Sunburst Orange (Special Order) DTS28.5TSB Forged from unique blend of 1095/1085 high-carbon steel and 1060 spring steel, this 28" blade exhibits all the aesthetic qualities of the traditional Japanese sword. Forge-folded 8-12 times, the blade's surface shows a complex Hada, most commonly in the Mokume and Ayasugi styles. The Hamon and Hada are further enhanced by a traditional hand-polish on imported Japanese stones. A hand-carved Bo-Hi gives the blade a lively and agile feel. The Tachi is meticulously mounted with gold-plated and darkened fittings. lacquered in orange/red/gold with gold inlayed Mon. The top third is wrapped in brown silk Ito with doe-skin mounts over embroidered silk. |
