Another in the Hanwei Samurai sword line of economical cutting swords, similar to the Practical Katana, but has more traditional fittings and methods of construction. The differentially tempered blade produces an HRC60 edge and an HRC40 back. Also has prominent hamon. The genuine same (Rayskin) on the tsuba, has a wrap designed for excellent gripping qualities. The tsuba is an iron sunburst design with a brass habaki. For safety, the tang is double pegged. Fittings are japanese dogwood decorated with a dragon menuki. Black laquered wooden scabbard included.
